Music = Life
Music will put you in a time and place you haven't visited in a long time. It will set a mood in a room upon hearing first notes. It will make people laugh, cry, dance or shout. It will move throughout your whole body motivating you to get up and go. It will inspire and delegate your style. It changes with the environment, with political change and social consciousness. If there is any connection between all of us it's music. I have not met one person in my life who doesn't like some music in one form or another and if there is anything that can make me scream at the top of my lungs in a car at 3am, it's just that...music.

Gossip Girl, You're My Hero
I like smart television. Yes, I'm aware television will fry your brain and saturate it with pointless entertainment, but you know what...I love it! I need to have an escape every once in a while. I learn stuff too, like whether you can escape from a car underwater (MythBusters) or how to make a chicken casserole in less than 40 minutes. These things are important. Now, every once in a while I like to indulge in a teenage drama. Gossip Girl wins the cake on this one. Not so much because of it's plot lines or fashion trends, but more for something a little more unlikely for a tv show....GREAT MUSIC.
How else was I to gain knowlege of the existence of such bands as The Virgins, The Pierces, Vampire Weekend and also listen to my favorites - LCD SoundSystem, Beck, The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs! The C-Dubs definitely has it going on with introducing the masses to great music through its television shows, but Gossip Girl takes the cake in my opinion. I also love how you can download each character's playlist. To me, that is smart marketing and it's also a way to get people to download good music. So, kudos to Gossip Girl and Verizon Wireless for doing something innovative and also for getting good music out there because we all know the world is in need of some good music these days!
