Whatchu Talkin' 'Bout Tim Gunn!
Week I - Week II - Week III - Week IV - Week V - Week VII - Week VIII - Week IX - Week X - Week XI - And the Winner is...
Project Runway has begun people and since I just loooove fashion and the show, I'm going to proceed with my summary of each weeks episode. I am no fashion expert so don't judge. I'm just here to have fun with Tim Gunn! Ok, that was inane, I know. So let's rev up those sewing machines and get started....
And the Winner is...Ok whoever doubted this is disillusioned! I loved all the collections but I thought the judges comments were spot on...for once. Now, will Christian progress forward with his career? He will of course be obligated to Bravo for a while but I'm hoping his integrity and talent as a designer continues to be seen. 21 years of age is most impressive for the type of work and execution he is achieving. I am quite happy with he outcome and much CONGRATS to Christian Siriano! Let the fierceness begin!
Week XI
I loved this challenge so much and was happy there was one with some worthiness to it. Why didn't anyone pick Egypt...damn them! We all knew Rami would pick Ancient Greece. Chris' was ok but I think he could have gone more extravagant. How lucky were they to go to the MET with NOONE there...BETCHES!
FIERCALICIOUS!
When I saw what Christian came up with there was no doublt that
he was going to win this challenge. He does such a large amount of work and detail in such a short period of time. Yeah, Christian came come off cocky to some people, I think he's hilarious, but the boy can freakin' sew! It was definitley a work of art.
Quiet StormFreakin' Jillian will surprise the hell out of you. She's all monotone and quiet and you think she's a little airy, but BAM, bitch comes out with some beautiful stuff. The detail in the jacket was perfect and it complemented all that gold. I would work that jacket!
Sad, but True
I love Sweet P. I think her designs for are peeps
like me. I think she can be inventive and make some really cute stuff. I don't think she's haute couture material though and she has a hard time making decisions. I think it was time for her to go and if I had chosen the peacock painting I think I would have made it over the top. I thought the dress itself was cute but was a little too simple for its subject. So, I know who goes to fashion week. I ain't tellin' though. I can say I was disappointed with what I saw. I saw better stuff during the season but I've only seen a selected portion of the shows. If I have to pick a winner I'm going to say Jillian. I think Christian should take the whole thing but I don't think he will. The boy can sew and he can design but he doesn't need PR to prove it...maybe to fund it but definitely not to prove it.
Week X
Man, this was a tarded challenge. It looks like fun but c'mon! I don't have much more to say about this challenge except
that Michael Kors' reaction to the models was hilarious.SuperSTAH
I wish my bod looked like this. I thought Chris' creation was fabulous. She looked like a superhero coming down that runway and
looked good in it. I loved the leopard print and the sparkle detail. The leg holster made it complete. Loves!MEEEE-OW Betch!
Christian Christian Christian! My god you are FIERCE! How appropriate was this outfit for Miss Krystal. I loved his detailing as usual and the jacket tied it all together. What more is
there to say?Crikey, that was a Mess!
Rami, honey, you really messed this one up. She looked liked Barbie at the Beach on Steroids! I hated the color and I just hated teh outfit as a whole. There was nothing strong about it. I do understand that it was way out of his element but you gotta take that challenge and run with it. So, not a fan of this Rami creation.
I have one added thing to say about this. Ricky gets voted off and the man doesn't cry? What happened here? Did he not have enough tears left? It was a nice bathing suit. Next challenge is more along the lines I want to see in a PR challenge.
WEEK IX
Ok, I think we are at a point in the show where I can say I have my top three. This is my prediction as to who will be in the tops: Rami, of course, Christian, of course, and I'd have to say Jillian as the representative for the female side. This being said, let's move on to this week's summary.

Shut Up!
Maybe the judges thought if they voted Ricky the winner his ass would stop crying...um....the man still cried. For someone who has worked for Valentino and Oscar de la Renta, he sure can't handle the stress of little 'ol Project Runway. Anyway, I thought Rami's was sensational. I liked the detail of the zippers and one again the execution impeccable. The man can sew, even if it is denim.
I Give a Nod to....I'm sorry but Sweet P's was very cool even if her model
needs to eat a sandwich. I thought it was a different perspective on the denim and was refreshing from her. If she just focuses she could be a really good designer, but she freaks out too much for my taste. She has a hard time making decisions which I think hinders her a lot. I loved Christian's too, but something about the pants really bothered me. Very cool concept but I felt the pants were ill fitted on his model. He is a funny little man!
Sweet Jesus! The gods have answered my prayers...Victorya is done! I have to say that this outfit was probably her worse. There was little to no creativeness and shit was just ugly. She supposedly is really competitive but it looks like in this episode she just held back. I will say, that Heidi's comment about Victorya's model looking bigger, was ridiculous. It's stupid comments like this that make us every day women feel like shite. Stick to producing the show Heidi, just because you wear the stuff doesn't make you an expert at fashion. Victorya wasn't consistent in her designs. Her designs from my viewpoint didn't really showcase anything significant.
I'm not looking forward to next week's challenge. I think the show has gotten ridiculous with it's challenges. Female wrestlers? C'mon! Maybe it will surprise me.
WEEK VIII
Now, this challenge I enjoyed. Hair and makeup play a huge role in the presentation of fashion and to do it backwards was interesting. I want Ricky to stop crying already. Yes, we realize you've overcome adversity, but pull it together man. Victorya must go! I can't deal with her anymore....she bores me. She did work well with Jillian but I think they
have the same aesthetic. I was fine with Kit leaving the building because, frankly, she bores me as well. She just never really left an impression on me that was of a "WOW" nature. Up to this point I would have to say my top contenders for the top three are: Christian, Rami, and Jillian.
LOVES LOVES LOVES!
I'm a sucker for art in fashion. It's what made me interested in it from the very start of our relationship. I cannot say how much I freakin' love this jacket. I hated the jodphers and shirt...they didn't do anything for me, but bloody hell I love that jacket. The detailing, the fit, the way it looked with the hair and makeup...Magnifique! The dress that went along with it was perfect as well. Like I said, Victorya bores me and I don't really care for her vision but her and
Jillian created a masterpiece with this jacket and cute dress.Um....someone effed up here...
This thing was just U G L Y. For once I did agree totally with Mr. Kors' words. This was just boring and cheap looking. It really did look like bed linens and if you are going to make bed linens into something avant garde then have the sense to pick out fabrics that are going to sizzle. What was up with that apron?? The accompanying dress reminded me of a bad China pattern. Just two very sad inventions here...sad so sad, Ricky, are you putting those tears in your clothes???

Me Likey!
When I look at this dress, I think, amazing. Christian and Chris crack me up, but they also designed beautifully together. You wouldn't think such diverse backgrounds would work so well together designwise but they made that shite work! The amount of work to create this vision was indeed meticulous and massive. It was just a gorgeous dress with the artistic flair it needed. I didn't care for the second outfit. I thought it was ill fitted in a way, but man, that first dress creating a look of plumage was just gorgeous. Well done lads, well done!
WEEK VII
Prom dresses? Um....wow, the world of high fashion is so versatile. I don't know what this season of PR is really doing to fashion because honestly some of these challenges are just bogus. I wanna see my fashion on men and women not teenage girls...they get enough attention. I'm incredibly upset that Kevin was voted off this episode. I do believe he had
more to show us! Anyway, here are my rankings.Bada Bing...
I thought Chris did an excellent job with this number. I think he understood how to dress a teenage girl for prom. I'm not wild on the color but I thought the constuction and design of the gown was spot on. It had enough slight detailing yet had a nice simple draping to it. It simply looked like a prom dress.

You Poor Poor Boy
So, I think Christian had a challenge on top of a challenge. i really have a hard time working with opinionated people (funny since I am one), but I think it's different having a child tell you what to do especially from a design perspective. We're talking years of experience to "you were born when"
experience. And, I hate it when the judges talk about "real world clients" because in the real world, someone of Christian's stature wouldn't be working on a prom dress. That dress was hideous and even for someone as talented as Christian there's no magic in making someone something they are not.Honey if I wore that....
If I wore this to my prom, well instead of staying for the hour I did, I just might have missed my prom. I loved Sweet Pea's dress. Very elegant and fit her client well, although it would have nice in another color. It could be mistaken for a wedding dress or a bit too Hollywierd glamour for a prom.
WEEK VI
Holy Canoli! WTF is Bravo thinking...I mean are you hurtin' for endorsements or is it the lack of challenges needed? I just don't get it. One minutes Michael Kors is talking about high fashion and the next is Hershey's Candy Crazefest! Is this about fashion or is this about plug-in time?
Well, if I have to judge on this piece of retardedness, here are my results:FABU
That hunk of a man Rami is kickin' booty. His execution is flawless. I do love the piece he did and if I were to wear such a ridiculous outfit I'd have to say I could pull this one off. It is fun and cute and whatever else the judges want it to be, but most importantly it is a well made garment.

...and the Land Fell Silent in Horror
Mmmkay....I think her ratings dropped or something. Anyway, she started off with a good dress and then it ended in this trainwreck of an eyesore. Such a sad dress...yes Mr. Kors, I have to agree. And those sleeves! My god woman....what planet do you get your clothes from? I'm glad to see her go and although there is some
talent there, I don't think she belongs in the fashion industry as that type of designer. Stick to your puppets lady. That's What I'm Talkin' About!
I don't care I loved both of these very much and would work them on any runway or street for that matter. Chris really surprised me with this piece and I was very impressed. He definitely had a clear notion to his concept and it showed. Kevin, I just liked this outfit. It was chic and classy and subtle is sometimes way better. Do I need to have Hershey on my ass? I don't think so. These are the things I loved about Moschino so much...his subtle yet notable details.
WEEK V
"real" people. I mean don't they know that the reason is because they are being groomed for places such as Banana
Republic and Macy's? High fashion...yeah right. MMM....TASTY!
Ok, Kevin was ROBBED! I thought his was the best. I admit Christian's was great but I thought Kevin's outfit was just as good. I felt both complimented their models and were executed very well, but I thought Kevin deserved this win. Christian will win more I'm sure but I'm starting to see him as a designer in the box. And who gives a damn if Michael Kors doesn't like leggings...get over it man! It looked good on
her and she liked it very much and that is what's important.HOUSTON, WTF is THIS?
I think the heading says it all. This thing was just fugly. I think she could have done a much better job with this material. It looks like a bad
homecoming dress. I'm also not a fan of that color. She could have put some other color in there and it would have been better, but this is a mess. UGH!I SAY, WELL DONE SIR.
Of course I loved Christian's outfit. I'm starting to see him follow the same pattern though. He's got meticulous execution and I love his clothes because they are modern and wearable, but I'd like to see him extend in other ways. I thought his model loved her outfit and it fit her very well. I also have noticed that he doesn't like to make dresses.
WEEK IV
school. Teamwork yeah! Whatever....as we see in week IV that Victorya and Ricky break out the kitty claws...MEOW! Play nicely children. Well no matter who was a better leader or not the fashions that took place on Ricky's team were horrid. EW...I might consider Elisa's (yes, I said that). So, here are my picks.OOOLaLa:
I loved Jack's dress. I would wear this any day. It's modern and clean. It is a very fun dress and it is definitely something you could dress
up or dress down. Bravo, Jack!Something Died Here:
I didn't like Victorya's or Ricky's. They were both equally icky picky material. They just looked poorly constructed and painful to wear. I think that Ricky coming from a lingerie background should have not stressed about Victorya and made his garment impeccable. Not impressed with either whatsoever. Although Chris' dress was not that flattering either I would have rather ed him stay...cause his ass is just funny!
Worth a Nod:Rami's little number was cute. I also liked how Kevin came through sticking it to Jillian because she was having a hissy on his time. Rami's was my favorite out of the three though and I thought they deserved to win. Rami's was nice too because it carried cute but also sexy. Who knew a man with those arms could make such divine clothing!
WEEK III
Episode III has finally shown me what I've been wondering from Project Runway since the beginning - why don't they ever do menswear? Apparently it's too time consuming, but I'm glad they finally had this challenge. I have to say Heidi Klum's comment about Seal was unnecessary. I mean who cares if your husband would wear it or not. I just didn't see the relevance of her comment on Kevin's outfit. I guess being Executive producer has its perks. Anyway, here are my picks:

JEAH:
It's no secret I love the European's sense of style. There's just a classiness to it. It's not too structured or boring. I am in love with vests right now for me. I think a man in a vest is hot, no I'm not talking Bono in his shirtless vest days...ew...anyway, I think that men in this country don't dress enough nor do they take any risks with fashion. Kevin's look was my favorite because he incorporated Tiki's style yet tried to be a little daring with the whole look.
EW:Ok, I was not rooting for Carmen as it is. I just didn't believe she had much to offer as a designer. Her outfit was a disaster. If someone said you weren't going to have enough time or that the client wasn't going to like what you were creating, you have to take a step back and decide how to make it better and think about the alternative to what you are doing. I think if you are designing for a client, first and foremost you have to give them
what they want. If I were Carmen I would have made that jacket into a vest. I also didn't like what she saidabout integrity inmenswear...that just didn't make sense to me.HMMM....Interesting:
I love what Christian did here. It was very unique. I don't know if I would put that sweater with that jacket but I love his detail. It was well executed and I thought Tiki would have looked pretty damn hot in that. I really liked the pockets on the jacket as well. It gave the outfit an interesting look.
WEEK II
Episode II proved exciting with that lady from Sex and the City, what's her name?
Um....actually I really love Sarah Jessica Parker's style. She really is a style icon to me. So, yeah I gasped when she walked in the door and I'm sure all the other designers peed their pants knowing they had to design for Miss Carrie Bradshaw.Yeah:
I really liked this outfit Ricky and Jack made. The color was different and this is an outfit I would definitely wear. You can dress it up or down and accessorize it appropriately. I also think this could fit different body types. A winner all around for me.

Ew:
Who called Pocohontas as their muse??? This is just a really really sad outfit. I don't think I can say anything more about this ensemble. I do love Steven's sense of humor...he cracks me up....but this outfit...not even crackin' a smile.
Honorable Mentions:
is it you can't see this on a big person. It just wouldn't work. It's too body conscious. Now, I loved Victorya and Kevin's as well. It was hip and different and the vest was a definite nice touch, but I can't see this on Little Anabelle who's straight and narrow ways leads here to the likes of LL Bean rather than a chic and stylish Bitten line. I would see this in Williamsburg before I would see it in Laguna Beach. Overall I liked them both because I could sport them...oh wait, I live in the fashion capital of the country....ooooohhhh that's why.
WEEK I
First off I want to comment on these models. The models are about as lively as a wet noodle. There's no sizzle when they are suppose to be workin' the clothes.
Click on the pics to see their designs. Photos are from BRAVO TV
Now for my 3's:
Fave:Anyone who can pull off working for McQueen and Westwood is one to look out for. His tailoring is impeccable so far and I'm curious to see what he does next. I didn't love the number he created but it definitely rings couture and I think he will be in the top running...as long as he keeps his mouth shut.
Ew:
not going to stay long unless they decide she's wacky enough. We all know Bravo is known for it's formula casting, I know I was absolutely shocked too...anyway, this broad is way out in left field and that dress was disgusting. Her dress was really disgusting. I hated everything from the color to the boots she decided to pair with it. It basically looked like someone puked on that model. We'll see how creatively sound she ends up being but I'm not impressed with her methods so far.Interesting:
This Rami fellow, he interests me. A very beautiful dress he created. Very J-LO. I loved it. I liked the layering and the back was very well executed. I would have liked to have seen something that made it stand out though. Some trim that set it apart because the color was a bit drab. He could have made his model more vibrant as well...some different shoes or dangly earrings.I think this season will prove to be interesting. I'm beginning to wonder what types of challenges will be faced. It would be nice to see them design some menswear every so often. Men do need good fashion too dammit! I wouldn't mind seeing some hottie male models either.
I can say I don't wanna hear anyone's freakin' sob story of how they are from the barrio or life was hard in the projects...wah...you're on tv..shut up and sew. If I wanted to know about your how rough your life was, then I would watch you on Discovery Times, talking about how you couldn't be on Project Runway because a land mine blew your hands and feet off...this is a competition people and the only reality I want to know about is can you overthrow the celeb designers out there and make a name for yourself? Has anyone heard from Santino lately?
