With the new relaunch of Anti-Mag, I've decided to add some rules to my features. I've had too many people, mostly bands, who say they want to be featured...I send the interview...I never hear back from them. That is what I call L A M E ! If you don't really want to be submitted I'd rather you just say No, thanks. Don't worry, my poor little heart won't be broken. I respect that, than no response.
So, here's the procedure. I ONLY do live instant message interviews or emailed interviews. This is an online magazine and I want to keep it in that format. I also understand the schedule of others and would rather them do it at their own convenience.
My interviews consist of 10-15 questions...usually if it's an online chat it becomes more. I like when people answer the questions I ask them. One word answers are not welcome. I want people to see the depth of who you are.All Bands must submit a press kit. If you don't have one, I need something to listen to whether it's in electronic form or otherwise.
When submitting an interview, if I can't take pics of you, I will need some. Usually people are quite accomodating. If they are press photos or people need to be credited for the ones submitted I need to know.

One more stipulation: I DO NOT take submissions for COVER BANDS....a tribute band perhaps...but if your band is solely based on the songs of others, I will not feature you. Sorry, I prefer original material.

If you are a writer...I welcome you whole-heartedly. As for compensation for freelance writers? I would love to pay you. I would love to pay myself, but I unfortunately do not have such means. Perhaps if this thing goes somewhere someday, then yes, but until then I'm afraid all writing submissions are either featured or pro bono.
